FIRST LOOK: Photoshoot for Blanchard's CHAMPION
He hit the high note which is saying something and there is a raw intensity to his performance which is in character for Tony. But the definitive performance for me is Louis Maskell as Tony.
well done!
Wow... Unbelievable..
Too much portamento for Verdi. But great voice..Bravo.
Nothing can compare to the original
Sing for Ukraine! Don't forget them, right now they need it badly!
¡Qué linda interpretación! Bravissimo...
Bravo!
Great singers
What a wonderful conversation. Illuminating and poignant. Very sad at his death. Glad to have heard his thoughts on opera and his life in music. Excellent interviewer.
The video is a wonderful tribute to Sir Andrew and his time at Lyric. RIP to a great conductor and music legend.
Why sre they using s Mike?? Its opera
Sir Andrew will be sorely missed. He was one of the greatest conductors in the world.
people who wish he was tony in the movie 👇
How can some people not like this? I don’t get it. Bravissima Ms Perez.
Sublime duo !!!
Gorgeous performance! Thankyou.
west side story is amazing
❤RIP❤
What a beautiful Anthem <3 - I don´t understand a word but I feel the emotion and power behind the words. May I ask a question that has nothing to do with the war? I´m Swedish and as Swede I understand both Norwegian and Danish since our languages are very similar. Is it the same with Ukrainian and Russian and Belarus etc. Can you understand each other?
what a suprise! a third *black* opera!!! After Porgy and Bess, Treemonisha this piece, performed in 2022. Thanks a lot for posting

wow
Voce pocco eroica. Canta Votre toast come "piangi fanciulla" . Mediocrita e valore principale di lirica moderna. Triste ma vero
SLAY QUEENS
The best!
My goodness this is extraordinary
This was amazing live - she makes the walls rumble and listening to her is like eating cake - Decadent❤️
Oh nooooo
The microphones here are kind to him. This was so much worse in person. And got even worse as the opera went on. One of the worst performances I’ve ever seen live.
No chestvoice is a half voice. Verdi singing demands everything from a voice and this is not even close.
Hideous
Awful production, needs to go. You're singing "Gloria all Egitto" in a weird nazi-germany scenary. It takes away from the grandiosity of Aida. Terrible.
The UA-cam trolls think they know it all. None of you would have the nerve to criticize her to her face. Fact is ,she’s on that stage, your not.
She can hardly be heard on this recording and it was next to impossible to hear her in the hall. This production was a travesty
Brava!!!❤
COREY COTT SINGING SOMETHING’S COMING ❤
Brava~!
Also: Dass niemandem überhaupt e i n f ä l l t, dass j e d e Musik irgendwie nach Choreographie schreit!
Conducting is horrendous!
Happiness
I would like to see Russell Thomas, perhaps paired with Tamara Wilson, in Forza some day, if we could find a producer and conductor for them. Trelinski and Nezet-Seguin at the Met are almost complete mediocrities, staging and conducting it, but can Russell Thiomas (Malcolm in the Met Macbeth in 2007-2008) climb through a window and run on stage?
.I had a pleasure to see five different Aida productions and the one that I saw on October 17 at the Lyric opera in Chicago is truly the BEST ever. Fantastic production.. . The trailer of the opera might be misleading because somehow it could not captured the essence of the opera. I do not have enough words to express impression left from a privilege to witness in my lifetime the power, energy, great voices dedication, and mostly the high art that this opera production . If Giuseppe Verdi was alive he would be proud and happy to see the opera's embodiment of his talent given to him from Heaven. Please, do not miss an opportunity to see this incredible MASTERPIECE.
